I wanted to provide a quick shout out to the Town of Simsbury, CT, my home town. The Standard and Poor’s rating agency recently assigned the town of Simsbury a AAA rating for the town’s series 2017 general obligation bonds. This is the highest rating that the agency assigns to bonds. First Selectwoman, Lisa Heavner, said that “the rating affirms the hard work we’ve done to implement fiscal discipline and to promote economic development.” S&P’s findings ended with a “stable outlook” wrote that that they “do not expect to change the rating with the two-year outlook period.” Congratulations, Simsbury!!!
