On January 25, 2017 the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 20,068.  This is the first time that the index has closed above 20,000.  In addition, the S&P 500 Index and the NASDAQ Index also closed at all-time highs.  With the financial markets up substantially from last November, where do we go from here?  I think that the markets will continue to grind their way higher, at least over the short-term.  Recent economic data has been good and corporate earnings continue to rise.  With lower corporate taxes and fewer governmental regulations a strong possibility, the path of least resistance for the markets is higher.
